Delete Your Metrics That Care Account

You can delete your Metrics That Care account and all associated data at any time. We offer two ways to do it.

Option 1: Delete from inside the app

This is the fastest way — deletion is immediate and you can do it yourself.

  1. Open the Metrics That Care app and sign in.
  2. Tap Settings (bottom nav).
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm when prompted. Your account and data are permanently deleted.

Option 2: Email us

If you can’t access the app, email us from the address on your account at admin@metricsthatcare.com with the subject line “Account Deletion Request.” We’ll verify your identity and delete your account within 7 business days.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile — name, email, password, birthday, timezone.
  • Care recipients — everyone you track care for.
  • All health data — sleep, mood, energy, tasks, behavioral notes, hygiene, symptoms, nutrition, and journal entries.
  • Shared records — family sharing invites and access tokens.
  • Uploaded photos — any images attached to recipients.

Data retention after deletion

When you delete your account, your profile and health data are hard-deleted from our active database within 24 hours.

  • Database backups taken for disaster recovery may retain your data for up to 30 additional days, after which they rotate out automatically.
  • Security and audit logs are anonymized at deletion time (your identity is removed) and retained up to 90 days for security and compliance purposes under CCPA and Washington MHMD.
  • Vercel edge logs persist up to 30 days and contain no health data.
