Delete Your Account

This page explains how to permanently delete your account and the data that goes with it. It applies to the Metrics That Care: Caregiving Android app (package com.metricsthatcare.app, developed by Metrics That Care LLC) and the Metrics That Care web app — they share one account.

Option 1: Delete your account in the app

  1. Log in to Metrics That Care.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Choose Delete Account.
  4. Confirm your password. This is the only confirmation step — the deletion runs immediately after it.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no recovery period and no way to undo it, so if you want a copy of your data, use Settings → Your Records → Download My Records first — it downloads everything as a spreadsheet, free.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you can't log in (for example, you've forgotten your password), email admin@metricsthatcare.com with the subject "Delete my account." Send the request from the email address on your account — that is how we verify it's really you. We complete verified email requests within 30 days, usually much sooner, and confirm by reply when it's done.

What gets deleted

  • Your account profile (name, email, preferences)
  • Everyone you've added as a person you care for, including their profile photos
  • Every health log — sleep, energy, mood, symptoms, behavior, hygiene and daily living, nutrition — and all tasks
  • All Wellness Summary (doctor report) PDFs, including the stored file copies
  • Your login sessions and any pending sharing invitations

What is retained, and for how long

  • Security audit records are kept with your account identifiers removed, for security and legal-integrity reasons. Records that a doctor report was generated or downloaded may be kept for up to 7 years.
  • Backup copies held for disaster recovery age out when backups rotate on our hosting provider's schedule.
  • Email delivery logs (for emails we sent you) are retained by our email provider under its own policy.
